HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!! I'M SORRY I'VE BEEN SO HORRIBLE @ BLOGGING LATELY...WE JUST HAVE SO MANY OTHER THINGS GOING ON RIGHT NOW. LIFE IS GOOD THOUGH! STILL JUST WORKING...DEFINATELY WASN'T READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS TO SNEAK UP ON ME LIKE THIS BUT HERE THEY ARE! I AM EXCITED FOR TURKEY DAY TOMORROW, MY UNCLE CAME UP FROM LAS VEGAS TODAY AND WILL BE STAYING UNTIL SATURDAY..JR AND I WENT OVER THERE TONIGHT FOR AWHILE AND BROUGHT OUR XBOX360 AND GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR...THAT GAME IS ADDICTING! IT WAS FUN THOUGH. TOMORROW WE WILL BE HEADING OVER THERE AGAIN FOR DINNER AND ALSO TO JR'S PARENTS FOR THEIR DINNER TOO. :) LUCKY US GET TO HAVE 2 THANKSGIVING DINNERS!! I HAVE TO WORK FRIDAY SO NO SHOPPING FOR ME! JR HAS THE DAY OFF SO IM NOT SURE WHAT HE HAS PLANNED TO DO. I LOVE THIS TIME OF THE YEAR..I ALREADY HAVE MY CHRISTMAS TREE UP AND HAVE STARTED MAKING MY CHRISTMAS CARDS. :) EVERYTHING ELSE WITH US IS GOING WELL, WORK IS GOOD, LIFE IS GOOD. :) I'LL UPDATE AGAIN AFTER THANKSGIVING AND POST PICS!! I wanted to share with you the scrapbook I made for a friend of mine. She is due in 6 weeks with a baby boy. They've decided to name him Kannon. I worked so hard on this and am so happy with how it came out. I was able to get a lot done last Friday @ "Croptober Fest". I went with a couple co workers...they get together and do scrapbooking on Friday nights and everyone brings all their papers, stickers, scissors, punches..pretty much anything they have and we all just kinda share and work on our scrapbooks. It was SO much fun, we had pizza and veggies and of course coffee and chocolate lol (we scrapbooked from about 6pm to almost midnight). This was a special event that a Rep. from Creative Memories put on, she rented a conference room @ a hotel in Meridian and so there were lots more people and it lasted a little longer. Anyhow, this is what I was able to get done and I really hope Jody loves it!!!!

Life & Such..

I realized it's been awhile since I've blogged so here goes! Let's see..what has been up lately...I have been at my new job just over a month now and I L.O.V.E. it! My boss couldn't be any sweeter and easier to get along with and my co-workers are awesome as well. I never imagined I would like this line of work, but I truely enjoy it. For those of you who don't know what I do, I am working as a teller..AHEM, Member Service Rep. (lol) at a local credit union here in Nampa. I've started to get to know a lot of our members (they must be in the Medical field to qualify for membership to the credit union). I love learning the "banking" world and am currently learning about IRA's and CD's. I think one day I would like to move up and maybe be a Loan Officer. Anyhow, thats whats new with me. (Dustie). As for JR, work has settled down a bit. It was a little hectic there for awhile, problems with management etc..and he was caught in the middle of a little "tiff" between his direct boss and the production manager. But it seems he has found a way to resolve it to where both parties are happy. He is such a little peacemaker..LOL. Naw, I think mostly it was that they both happen to be women and he didn't like the drama! LOL but it seems things are better now and he is feeling a lot less stressed out. He also learned last week that they have a new Plant Manager and so there will be some changes soon. Hopefully that all goes well. I can't believe it's already going to be Halloween! I am supposed to dress up for work and still have no idea what I am going to be..it seems like just the other day it was 4th of July. I am SO not prepared for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas. I guess I'd better get ready!! I guess that is it for now, nothing really interesting to report..we are well, family is well..and I think I am just too tired to think of anything else to write!! :) Goodnite all!

Happy Birthday JR!!!

Today was JR's 27th birthday!! Although he had to work, his parents gave him his presents last night and then we had dinner with my parents tonight at Chapala. (really good mexican rest.) Then on Saturday we are going to JRs parents to have chicken enchiladas (homemade!) and cake to celebrate with them. He got lots of fun presents and had a good day. I am so thankful to have him in my life and grateful for all the things he does for me. I hope I was able to make his day special. I love you babe!!

Update of Life

Well, I just thought I would update on what we have been up to this last little while...theres been ups and theres been downs..but I think I can see a small glimpse of what might be the light at the end of the tunnel. On a good note, I started a new job on Wednesday. Today was my 3rd day and I'm happy to say I LOVE it~! I never thought I would enjoy working for a Credit Union..but I do! Afterall, who doesn't like playing with lots and lots of money all day long! More importantly, I love my boss. She is the same age as my mom and they have a lot of the same great qualities, so we get a long great. There are 5 women in our office (including me) and I really enjoy all of them. I caught on quickly and was already doing transactions the first day, so they were impressed with that, which made me feel good. Although my feet hurt like crazy right now, because I ran the drive up all day today. I feel really good about this job and its definately something I can see myself at for a long time. Whew! Finally! That is stress I can mark off my list. Other than that, not much else has been going on.. Just trying to get caught up and back on track with bills etc..as I'm sure a lot of people are feeling the effects of the economy right now. Its frustrating and exhausting, but at the end of the day I have my dear husband and my loving family and friends..and that definately makes up for it.

My new niece, Lia, is doing well..growing and doing her job of being so dang cute. I am so proud of my brother and the man he has become, but makes me sad at the same time.. my little brother is now a daddy! If thats not a reality check, Im not sure what is.

JR is doing well, working a lot lately..they have been pretty busy at work and its inventory time so he has been working a lot of overtime. I would like to report of fun and exciting things we have been doing, but there isnt any! LOL It's mostly work and home. (especially now that it is football season). My boss and another co-worker do scrapbooking on Friday nights and they have invited me to come whenever I want, so I might take them up on that soon. It would be nice to dig into my boxes of scrapbook stuff and do some pages again. It's been quite a while since I have done that. I'm thinking about setting up a table in my garage or in our spare bedroom so that I can go and do some pages while at home...especially Sundays when JR is "invisible" because football is on. :) Well, that is about it for now.. I'll leave you with a cute picture of Chico and Kiwi..they have become quite the buddies lately..which I am thankful for, but at the same time they drive me nuts!! :) This was their first time "cuddling" and I thought it was so cute. TahTah for now!!

Im so excited to announce that my brother Kelly and his wife Lizzie had their baby girl, Ophelia Rose Reed, this morning at 8:26am. She was born via c-section because she was breech. She was 5lbs 12.4oz and 19in long. She is so adorable and looks a lot like our side of the family.. I see a lot of my brother, my mom and my grandpa in her. They live in Salem, OR so we weren't able to be there, but hopefully can go up and visit and see her soon. Congrats to the new parents and Im so excited to be a auntie!!!!!!!

A Whole Month!

Well, its been a whole month since I've updated our blog..guess I better get to it 'eh? There really hasn't been much going on with us, things are pretty much same, just livin'. We did get a new kitty..I know, I know, another animal. I just can't help it, I love animals! Her name is Kiwi, and she is a brat! She is 8 weeks old, so I am hoping she will grow out of it lol.

She loves to be in boxes, that is her favorite thing lately. She is just like a baby and hates it if you leave the room without her, she cries. Chico is still getting used to her, and likes to chase her around..so she mostly hides in the entertainment center or under the furniture..but I'm sure they will get along one day. :)

Well, that is about it...life is pretty boring around here for us. I will try to remember to update more often though!!!
