Im such a bad blogger!

I know, I know, its been awhile!! I do, although have a valid excuse, no internet!! I cant even remember all the things that have happened since I last blogged...I guess I will start with the latest and most tramatic. :) The weekend of March 21st I wasnt feeling too well. I thought it was a cold and would pass eventually, boy was I wrong! That weekend we did our running around as normal even though I wasnt feeling great, and as the day progressed, I started feeling worse, and feeling like I couldnt breathe. Finally Sunday was the worst and that all day I had the feeling that I was 'breathing through a straw' as they say. Sunday night I was extremely cold..not too unusual for me, as I am always cold..lol. But this felt a bit different and also my breathing was worse. I told JR I was headed to bed to warm up and get some sleep. He came in about 10min later to check on me, and after feeling my head and stomache, decided I needed to go to the ER, as I was freezing cold to the touch. I hate going to the ER. All my experiences with it have just been 'they tell you that your basically overreacting, give you some meds and send you home with a nice, fat bill'. But by this time I didnt care, I was feeling awful and even if they did just send me home with meds, atleast they would help me get some sleep! Well, that didnt happen at all. The triage nurse saw me right away and after a few minutes of her taking my stats, she was on the phone asking them to get me in a room, asap. My oxygen was sat'ing at 80. (normal is 95-100). By the look on her face, I guessed it wasnt a good thing. After the ER nurses and doctor poked and prodded me, they still weren't sure what was wrong.. the DR said my x-ray came back "fine". Maybe allergies? Bronchitis? Both of these I knew were wrong..I've had both and NEVER felt this way, this bad. After an hour or so of being in the ER, they told me I would be admitted. The next few days were horrible, seeing 4 different doctors, all which I was UNimpressed with, and who had NO idea what was wrong with me, meanwhile I was getting worse. I couldnt even pee for hells sake without feeling and looking like a ran 10 miles! Finally, JR and I decided that we would tell the DR either he got us a specialist or we would like him to transfer me to a different hospital. (afterall, the DR told us they didnt have a specialist, when in fact, they did!) So the next day I see the specialist, who orders another xray of my lungs. This one, however, shows exactly what is wrong. Viral Pnuemonia filling up 75% of my lungs. NO WONDER I COULDNT BREATHE! I was only using 1/4 of my lungs! I was transferred to ICU for a night, maybe 2? (time flies when your having fun!) But that may have been because one of the new nurses that came on freaked out at my sats, which were still running low 80's, even with several anti biotics and breathing treatments. Anyhow, after a week in the hospital, I was sent home on Oxygen. I had to wear that thing up my nose 24/7 for the first 5 days or so and as you can tell, I wasnt happy about it. But, Im happy to say I am alive and well...and if JR hadnt taken me in that night, who knows what could have happened. It was an awful experience and Im glad its over with!!!

On a better note, we started our fertility journey the beginning of March. Im sure you all dont want the exciting details lol but we are hoping our dream to have a child will happen this year sometime!!

I think that is all I can think of right now to update on....but Im sure there will be more as the days pass...and I will be a better blogger I promise!!!
